The WellTM puts healing at the center of justice by creating opportunities for individuals, communities, collectives and movements to learn healing practices to help replenish, restore, and be sustainable. Through our virtual and live Healing Rooms participants are given free access to wellness practices they can use in their everyday life, organizing work, and relationships. The Well removes the barrier to accessing healing by raising money to resource practitioners diirectly, and creating innovative programs to offer healing where it is most needed. In addition, The Well offers fellowships to practioners to design healing offerings to serve communities they are connected with and are often marginalized from accessing healing services. Our first Freedom Fellowships centered BIPOC Transgender and Non-Binary folks and provided services in 4 cities: Oakland, Atlanta, Detroit and Durham. Outcomes from our work include:
BIPOC, Queer and Trans* communities having increased access to healing practices they can use immediately for their restoration, wellness, and thriving.
Destigmatizing the need for healing, restoration and wellness services within communities who experience compound trauma and intersectional oppression.
Strengthen network of healing practioners serviving our movements, organizations and communities by creating diversifying financial sustainability, creating opportunities for development, and networking.
